On My Needles. . .

I LOVE doing "YYMN"s!! That way I get to work with really yummy yarn that's different from what I usually work with!! Thanks "ckck3" . . .I'm having a lot of fun knitting these beauties!

This is a custom pair of "Budgie Britches" using BFL in the colorway of Chocolate Rainbow and the brown is my organic O-wool in the shade of "chocolate". The skirty will also be knit using "chocolate". I have the ruffle pinned because it isn't blocket yet . . .



A 12" inseam for a fast growing girl! OOOH I can't to get pix of her in these!!

and I've started my 2nd pair of athletic shorts :) This time I have created a little "split cuff" on the side. These will have a duplicate stitched stripe up each side also!







The athletic shorts have been put on hold due to knitting up this custom...

They are going to be adorable "Budgie Bloomer's" shorties with a "tea rose" skirty and ruffled cuffs and "natural" body and legs :)

I am almost finished with a size small pair of my original design "Budgie Bloomer Britches" Rag Doll Longies w/ skirty...

I hand "duplicate stitched" the little white specks on the skirty! Here they are being "blocked" and waiting for their handknit i-cord...

Thank you, Katherine, for your GREAT idea for "boy" wool!!! I designed these adorable organic "athletic" shorties for her son, Luka, and will be offering customs in several color options!

They are based on the 70's running shorts I remember as a kid... and I actually owned a pair of red w/ white that I LOVED!!!! I had a matching "baseball shirt" and think that was practically ALL I wore one summer as a kid!! haha I was "all girl"... NOT!!!!

This is a 12-18 month pair (with extra wide thighs for Luka's chunk!) knit using 100% organic O-Wool in the colors of "willow" and "natural". They have 3 short rows in the back to accomodate bulky cloth diapers, a gusset crotch, and the cuff was bound off using the i-cord technique to resemble the stripe on either side!
